Iv had a bit of a break these last 3 weeks for one reason or another but now finding the longer I leave it the harder it is to get out there and run. I am determined to go tonight when the hubby gets in from work but could do with a bit of a pep talk? Plus one of my goals this year is to run a 10k any advice on bridging the gap?

You asked for it..........
Don't take your health for granted.
I am redoing C25k after chemotherapy laid me low in my ongoing treatment for advanced prostate cancer. While running could not help me avoid this disease, it did put my body in a strong and fit state, making the side effects of the therapy less pronounced and recovery quicker.
By exercising regularly you can statistically reduce the chance of succumbing to a whole raft of life limiting critical illnesses, including some cancers, but also diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease which are contributed to by inactivity. You can statistically improve your healthy life expectancy.
Life is too short to spend it inactive at home...........get out and live some...........you never know what is round the corner.

Wow you are both definitely inspiring. Made me realise my excuses were jst that, Excuses! Thank you I laced up the running shoes and got out. Feel so much better now! I still find it staggering just how much a simple run can make such a difference.

Hi. Keep going! Once you get back out there you will find the demons are nowhere as bad as you have built them up to be. I am now running after having testicular cancer - the same as killed my father - and I am 'less of a man' at least in a physical way. My lovely wife now refers to me as a Womble [one ball!] but I am out there on W4 and having, well, a ball!!
Get out, keep running and as the days are getting warmer and longer you have a glorious Spring and Summer of running to look forward to.
Please, run!
