Inspired!

After all the kindness and encouragement I got started this morning! Not quite according to any plan but I put my daughters trainers on (she has all the super ones but lives away and hadn’t taken these!! And they fit me so comfortably!!). I don’t have a mobile phone at the moment…it got smashed….however I took the fattest dog and we walked and jogged down the lane and back again….in all I counted 500 strides. I felt really chuffed when I got in and quite positive and uplifted!!

So thank you so much everyone!!

Every journey starts with a single step...........you are on your way.

"Super " trainers may not be running shoes, but will probably be okay for now.

Hannah’s trainers are super in that she buys her trainers for their use…not the look! Some are for the gym…some for running..some for something else..she is a total fitness freak!!! And being in the Navy that is quite useful!! So any trainers left laying around are quietly secreted to my room!!!!

Great news! Glad the support of this group has helped, and I hope that going out today has made going out a second, third time etc a little less daunting. Getting up the courage to go out for my first run was definitely a massive step for me!

If your phone is broken you can read the plan and perhaps use a watch to time the walking/running sections. It's great you made a start!

Hi Roxdog…I should be up and running (ha ha!!) with a phone …yes quite literally….if not Friday then by Saturday!!

Well done Fengirl! When I started I did what Roxdog suggested. I had the plan printed out and stuck to the fridge door, and got myself a cheap Casio stopwatch. (It's bright pink, I still use it sometimes!)

Well done!! That’s some big steps you have made! I imagine it will be much easier when your phone is up and running as you’ll have one of the coaches spurring you on! Congrats!
