Like many of us, I count 2020 as a year best forgotten. One highlight was completing Couch to 5K in the summer. Since then my running lapsed as the nights drew in and the temperature dropped. Then along came Covid, hitting our family hard. My wife & I made it to the new year, but 2 of our family didn’t.
6 weeks after my positive test (I was completely out of action for 2 weeks) my breathing was still laboured. Just walking 50 metres was too much of an ask. But remembering the C25K mindsets kicked in. I walked every other day, slightly further each week.
Anywho, having built up to walking 2k last week, I bit the bullet and have just completed W1R3. Daft thing is, it feels like a bigger achievement than when I finished W9R3!
Week 2 - bring it on.

So sorry, it sounds as though this has been an exceptionally tough time for you and your family. I think it is completely understandable to feel the way you do about Week 1 - it shows you are back and getting stronger! I wish you and your family all the best for the better and safer times ahead. 🙂
