You’re not chugging! Week 4 is an amazing achievement! I repeated weeks so many times so feel like a bit of a con but never ever gave up and kept going right until the end. And you will too! Keep at it!!

💪 Well done you, slow and steady always wins! It is all about persevering, way behind you on my runs but drawing inspiration from you to keep going!

🚀...and, the ‘perseverance’ lander has also just got to Mars, started around same time as you with your runs so you are in great company😊 (I’m a closet Trekkie so had to share this!!)

Of course you will! To be honest 30mins was a stretch for me but I was determined to complete the plan. Looking forward to easing back to a relaxed 25 to consolidate for a while before moving forward again. Good luck and enjoy!

Congratulations. You are truly inspirational in your perseverance. I started on 16th November and am on week 7. I'm finding it hard now but posts like yours keep me going. 😊

I didn’t enjoy week 7 at all. Not sure why. It took me so long to get there and I was disappointed when I didn’t get the buzz. I just thought maybe I’m not going to be a distance runner. But...WEEK 8 WAS AMAZING! I loved 28mins and the buzz returned! Keep at it and enjoy! You can do it xx

That, lovely beaming smile says it all GG. I can feel your euphoria bouncing off the photo! I was interested to read of your weight loss too, as it's often said that people don't lose weight although they'd like to. You have found a winning formula for you. 🥇Best wishes ☺️

That is phenomenal. Losing that much means the long road was worth it. I felt that I was just at the edge of able on week 1, but you're proof that anyone can do it. Huge congrats!

GoldenGirly
GoldenGirlyGraduate in reply to LastBlaster

Thanks! Believe me I felt downhearted and frustrated at times but then the friend that inspired me to start the journey reminded me that any run I did was better than no run at all, a repeated week was another week complete and I thought yes you are right! That was the turning point for me and I just kept “plodding” as Jo Whiley would say until I became fitter and stronger. I finished the last 3 weeks in 3 weeks, it was getting through weeks 5 and 6 that took the longest. I repeated each one many many times!

So what next GoldenGirly ?

GoldenGirly
GoldenGirlyGraduate in reply to Katnap

Hey KN! I’m going to rest til the weekend as my knee was sore today then I’m gonna have a couple of weeks consolidation at a more relaxed target of 25-28mins and just enjoy it. Then I’m gonna start the 12 week consolidation plan which is running matched with flex and stretch. I’ve still weight to lose so this will focus me well into summer xxx

Congratulations, amazing achievement , week 7 run 2 , for me tomorrow, started in November, ice & snow, got in the way, so inspired by you.

GoldenGirly
GoldenGirlyGraduate in reply to sk-running

Thanks so much. I’ve been overwhelmed by all the messages. Running in snow was actually my absolute favourite thing. I absolutely loved it. Ice not so much obviously but I actually googled snow running to see if it was a thing! My favourite run this year was done in -11 with thick snow underfoot and snowing while I ran! I felt like a maniac but it was sooooo good 🤣🤣
