Having put myself out for six with joint pain running W4R3 in December I started again from W2at the end of January. I just was just getting to the point of starting W5 when it snowed, and we had freezing conditions for a week here in Kent.
As I didn’t want to risk hurting myself running on a slippery surface I decided to err on the side of caution and wait until it had thawed before running again. Which worked until I decided to use my heel to break the ice on my path. The combination of that mild impact injury and walking around like a penguin for a week whenever I ventured out for a walk meant I had to take yet another week off with joint pain.
This week I started again at W3; I’ve just finished my second W3 run, no pains and finding it quite an easy run.
Hopefully this time I’ll be able to continue to work my way through the programme without having to take any more time out for injuries.
