In the discover tab of the C25K app there is a quick quiz to find out who is your perfect C25K Coach. Good luck on your journey.
I did my successful attempt at C25K with Jo. I did start with Sarah, but felt that she was just reading a script, whereas Jo sounded as if she knew what she was talking about.
Jo's an accomplished triathlete πͺπ
I did mine with Michael who is an Olympic champion π π π π and he knows his stuff.
Just done my Wk1 D1 run with Michael....really enjoyed it actually.
No is Brilliant. I am on week 4 with her.
Well done on starting. I used Jo, canβt comment on the others. Well done and enjoy the journey πππ½ββοΈπββοΈ
I ran with Jo from Week 1 and stayed with her all the way through to graduation back in November. I thought she was brilliant and she really motivated me to keep going when l was struggling. She comes across as being very genuine and it felt as if l had a friend running with me! I'm 56 and hadn't run since leaving School. I never thought l would get to this stage where l can run for 30 minutes or more and l put that down to Jo. Good luck.
Well done you! There is only one coach for me on C25K. Michael Jordan x
Ummm, sorry to be that guy but am I missing something here, what you all on about, again sorry
don't answer that, think I've sussed it,I just downloaded the zen one from playstore thought they were all the same, what a biff !
They're taking about the different coaches available on the Public Health England C25K app:
Google Play: play.google.com/store/apps/...
Welcome to the big world of running! We are a friendly bunch's and always have the metaphoric kettle on and freshly baked cakes and scones for you after a run... or at any other time you wish to drop in.I can't comment on Jo or any others as I am a 'naked' runner. Not literally - YUK!! Rather I don't use headphones etc. Just me, the birds, sheep, ponies and cattle - including shaggy highland beasties at times - and my watch for timing.
However you do it, and whether you are faithful to Jo, or decide to play the field, I wish you the very best in completing this rather wonderful course.
Listen to the moderators and what other runners say, and with any luck it will be an enjoyable/endurable experience that will have you running properly by Spring.
Just remember, the only important and even vaguely expensive this for running is a good pair of running shoes. When you can, get a proper filing and get a gait analysis done. As you can't at present, do try the wet foot test - Google how to do this - and then get some correct pronation shoes. ladies will also need additional support for their upper body; some men will too!!
Stay safe. Listen to others and to your own body and DON'T try and so more than the programme says to do!! Oh, rest days are are really, really important. Do not miss them out. When you are an experienced runner, running daily is not a problem - or so I am told - but as a mere W3R1 runner today, I adhere to my rest days like a religious zealot does to their faith's feast days.
I did Michael Johnson due him being a runner and he was great.
My daughter and I doing the Couch to 5k training and have Jo Wriley as coach. My daughter loves it - we have just completed Wk3 D1 yesterday. I used the app before and completed the Couch to 5k training. So for me itβs a refresh course after recovering from an injury. I truly could recommend using the app. I had the coach Laura at the time who talks a bit less than Jo Wriley.
Is there a way of changing your coach without resetting the app completely then? I canβt work it out. I ran a bit with Laura but then started afresh again a few weeks ago, and find im preferring Michael. Iβd love to mix it up a bit more without losing my progress....
Thanks
I've tried a few, but I always have more success with Jo. I don't know what it is, but she's the right mixture of humour and you can do it!
Well done NewFeb ππ»ππ» it was Jo Whiley all the way for me, I stayed loyal to Jo.....but 2 of my work colleagues (ladies) liked Michael as they liked his voice πand another 2 (ladies again) liked Sarah as her voice was cheery and funny..... no harm in mixing it up though π
