So after a bit of a blip with knee pain - I took a week out and worked on knee exercises.
Then I went back and did a W1 run as a ‘test’ run - which was great, no knee pain at all.
Today I carried on where I’d left off with W2R2 and I couldn’t believe how great it felt. I had so much extra energy that I carried on running a little at the end.
I was just wondering if anyone had any advice re whether doing a little extra if you feel you have more in the tank is a good idea?
Thanks

Well done, you proved the strengthening exercises work.
C25K is designed to gently and progressively increase the demands on your body while simultaneously conditioning your body to the impact and reducing your risk of injury.
It works just fine, straight out of the box. If you run more, you increase your chances of injury. We are all capable of doing way more than our bodies are conditioned to do, but not without increasing our injury risk. Sticking to gently progressive training plans is the safest way to push our limits, whilst gently increasing our resistance to injury.
Injury often strikes out of the blue and can stop you for days, weeks or even months.
