Couch to 3.5K !

Completed W9 R2 last night. Checked the distance run on my Fitbit for the first time. It was only 3.5K. I know I’m still running slowly, but thought it would be further. Should I repeat, repeat until I’ve got my running speed up or just be content to be a running snail 😊?

Well done! You are near the big day, it is massive achievement to run for 30 min. You will be repeating it during consolidation 😉. Who cares how fast.

Be content! The target is not reaching the distance of 5km, but being able to jog continuously for half an hour.

You are doing great.

Only a small proportion of graduates from this forum who responded to a poll, managed 5k in 30 minutes by graduation healthunlocked.com/couchto5....

Graduation requirements are that you complete three thirty minute runs, regardless of distance.

Well done! As nowster wisely says, it’s about going continuously for half an hour (which is a bit confusing I know!). You have all the time in the world to increase your pace during consolidation runs. For now relish your new found ability and best of luck for your last run! 👍

Well done Twinkl66 👏🏻👏🏻 The aim of C25k is to be able to run for 30 minutes continuously, which you can now do, increasing your distance can be your next challenge when you graduate.

Download the Nike Run Club app it’s ideal for consolidation runs and it’s free too. 👍
