hi guys, i guess i’m going to start running. kind of dreading my first run 😩 please someone tell me it won’t be that bad haha

Just take it really gently and trust the programme! Sometimes it’s hard and sometimes it isn’t but the satisfaction is amazing. Don’t think I have ever had a sense of achievement like it and I truly didn’t think I could do it! You go! You will never regret it! Best of luck.

What Hidden said, plus don't do what I did and RUN, aim more for a nice gentle jog, it might be slower than your brisk walking pace, that doesn't matter, it's a different action. If you take all the advice on board you'll be fine. I wish I'd found this fantastic forum before week 4 🤪🥵Good luck, enjoy it.

It should be called Couch to 30 minutes - most people don't reach 5K by the end of the programme. Since graduation I have run six 5Ks but none under 43 minutes. I am old fat, an slow. But better to be slow and finish than go too fast and stop too soon and get despondent and give up. It is one of the best things you can do for your health. If you can walk at a brisk-ish pace for 30 minutes then you are ready for this
