Just completed wk 1 & I’m not broken 😆, today’s ‘run’ I decided not to take my dog as he tends to push me a bit to fast. I am surprised how much better I feel afterwards. It is a bit of a struggle as I have asthma, but I will improve.

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Thank you 😁

Good call not to take the dogs 👍 it's not a race go at your pace 🙂

Well done for completing week one! I’m also asthmatic and find that taking my inhaler before running really helps. I certainly notice the difference when I forget to use it!Hopefully you will find that the programme has a positive effect on your asthma, as your fitness increases. Good luck and happy running 🏃‍♂️

I don't use my inhaler so much now. Just before runs really. Running really does help. Careful with that freezing air though.
