Time Improving

Checked weather and not looking good for next few days so went for second run tonight and it seems I picked the right time as at the time I am writing this it is chucking it down. Well tonight’s run it felt a lot warmer than it had been recently. I tried harder tonight and it felt rather hard just disappointed to end with an improved time of a whole two seconds. Although it is getting nearer to getting below my 28 minutes as I was running that last year. My 5k tonight was 28 mins 9 seconds hopefully get there soon.

You don't need to be disappointed on that time, a lot of runner's, including myself dream of a sub 30 minute 5k, well done. 😊 🏃🏾

Thanks AlMorr I know I say that to a lot of others but I know I have done better and will try and continue to improve.

👍 I suppose once you have ran several sub 30 minute 5k runs you want to get to sub 28 minutes. 🏃🏾

Yes always want a target to aim for.

Wowsers... I have not yet reached 5K as I am a snaily snail. Calculating with my past runs, I will be needing around 48 minutes to reach 5K 😂.

Don’t worry about it I graduated around two years ago so have been running 5Ks almost from the start. I think I naturally had a fair amount of fitness from training for dog agility on a weekly basis although this was only short usually under one minute runs. I had never run long distances since at secondary school 45 years previously. I am pretty stubborn so if i decide a distance I go for that distance even if the gremlins come with me. Turn the music up and run.
