Today I have tried Jeffing my 30 mins with a 05:30:30 plan. Meaning I ran 5 mins and walked 30 secs for 30 mins (actually 33 with the walking). I think I ran a bit faster and it was still hard (running after work). But I was not as exhausted by the end. So I think this Jeffing actually works! Going to look more into it.
And yes I THINK I ran faster because my Garmin watch decided to be drunk. How else can you explain that I ran exactly the same road as every other run, knowing I should have reached around 3,50 km and my watch says I ran only 2,92 km? Did 600 meters disappear in a black hole? And my Garmin map tells me I was actually running in another part of town than where I actually was. Again: did I run in a black hole?
Anyhow, I do hope my Garmin will be sober again next time. And looking forward to my next run!
Ah no, with me it is only 500 or 600 meters. 2 km is a total bitch! And yeah technology, so fun when it works. And I know many people run 'naked' (no technology), but I like seeing the numbers after a run. I run for fun, but I like the lil numbers...
Hahaha. Ditto. It was a 7km run I was on. When I felt a buzz where I normally hit 5k it only registered 3 when I looked. I nearly stopped running in frustration.
It almost feels as if you did not run those 2 km, eh? Reminds me of the joke 'if it is not on Stravema then you did not run it'. Have I run those 500 meter if Garmin did not register it? 😂
