Hello everyone! So, I had to take some time off post completing C25K. However, am raring to get back in the saddle. Of course, I waited until it got nice and chilly! So, I have two questions. In order to get back in to things, should I start the programme over from the beginning, or pick up somewhere along the way? Also, can anyone please recommend some good running gloves, as I am prone to cold hands at the best of times. Many thanks!

Welcome back.

The answer to your first question depends entirely on when you last ran and whether you have been doing other aerobic exercise.

The programme builds your resistance to impact and injury by being gently progressive........if you haven't run for some months then I would recommend that you start from W1. It is not a matter of what you can do, rather what your body is conditioned to do.

Thank you. I've had bad asthma since probably COVID and a lung infection, so had to cut out all aerobic exercise for five months. Yoga and walking is all I have been able to do. I tend to agree that would rather take it slowly and build back up again.

Well done for getting back into the running shoes ✅.

Those gloves I've got terribly achey hands in the cold, but the karrimor gloves I wear (sports direct and not expensive) do an ok job 👍

Hi Bloomsbury22!How coincidental is this... I restarted C25K only yesterday on W1R1. We used to encourage each other on back last year until we graduated. I too haven’t done any form of exercise since then and thought it best to restart right from the beginning. Glad I did as my legs are aching a little bit today. Also had COVID in September and find that I get out of breath quite easily.

Good luck again with your running. 😉
