I only joined this forum a week ago but all the advice, posts and community spirit has already helped so much. After repeating weeks here and there and repeating the first 2 runs in W5, I have finally run 20 whole minutes without stopping and it was due to the advice I found right here; don’t go too fast, don’t tell yourself you can’t do it, give it a go! I am new to running and feel on top of the world thank you. 😁

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Well done! Easily the toughest run in the c25k IMO, it's a major milestone and I remember being so chuffed when I did it!

Thank you for an inspiring post. I am glad you are doing so well. I am still on Week 3, but you have given me hope that I wil be able to get to Week 5 😀😀

It is definitely worth sticking with it! If an overweight, ex smoking 52 year old (that’s me by the way) can do it, anyone can.

Excellent! Well done!

You've overcome, along with W1R1, the biggest mental hurdle in the program.

Nothing else should faze you now.

Crack on!

Bet you feel great. As for week 6, just take the first run slowly.

Yay this makes me happy and gives me so much hope! I’m also a new runner, also new to this forum, and am also on week 5 🙌🏼 Just completed W5R1 yesterday and was fearing the rest of the runs regardless of how much I’ve enjoyed the program so far. I am proud of you for completing week 5, I’m right behind you and am looking up to you! 💕
