Anyone not completed W5r3?

Week5 run3 tomorrow...I am not nervous or scared but I just want to know is there anyone who had to re-run this run? I am not putting myself under pressure so if I feel I can’t do it tomorrow I will just try again after2 days.

I found 8 minutes ok but I have had a 4 day break in between due to guests/committments and did contemplate repeating run2 but then thought let’s go for it and see where that takes me 😀

I did manage to do it but definitely had all the doubts you have. Just try to remember that you have been building to this run and if you feel tired just slow it down as slow as a snail. Best of luck and let us know how it goes 😊

Practice runs are fine but I'd go for this one like you intend to do it. Trust in the programme and all that you've achieved so far.

Everyone worries about Wk5 R3 because it seems such a big step up but if you've managed upto now I'm sure you'll be ok.

Don't start with those doubts in your mind just go at it slow and steady and think about how amazing you'll feel when you've done it. 😊

There are many who had to rerun this one, as with just about every run in the plan.

NB. You did not run for eight minutes, but sixteen, with a five minute walk interval in the middle....... total workout time 21 minutes.

Good luck and practice grinning before you start.

You will do this. I had all the same thoughts today after not running since last Monday but I went out and completed the whole 20 minutes this morning. It was tough in parts but I slowed down for the middle part. Was elated by the last 5 mins and felt quite emotional when Laura said i had 2 minutes left.

Laura said today that if I'd completed all the previous runs my body is ready to do this and its my mind i need to conquer. You will do this tomorrow and you will feel great!

Don't worry and don't put it off. Everyone worries about it but almost everyone manages it as far as I can tell. If you take it slow it's totally possible. Go for it. Worst that can happen is a practise run. More likely you will experience the amazing feeling you get the first time you do 20 minutes.

Then watch out for week 6 which is harder than it looks.

Yessss!!!! Did it! It was easier than I thought too! Infact the first minute was the hardest, I was probably too fast! Then my legs just settled into some sort of rythmn and I heard Laura announce the 5 minute mark, then 10 minutes, then 15 and before I knew it, she said,’1 minute to go’! Wow! Who would have thought I could run for 20 minutes??!!!

I am sooo proud of myself today! I think I may well become a runner yet

Well done Zarmina , you dug deep and accomplished it! I will take inspiration from you as I didn’t manage my first attempt at w5r3, could only do 15 minutes, but I intend to keep trying and will go out tomorrow and remember your accomplishment when I get to that 15minute-mark! All the best for w6r1 - you can do this!

Do not worry. Give it another go and just try and slow down a bit more and you will do just fine. If you did 15 you can surely do 20!

I did W5R3 tonight and had the same worries, but like the guy on the podcast said I think it’s more about convincing yourself that you’re able to run for the 20 minutes, if you’ve done the runs to that point physically you’re there. For me that was very much the case, I just wasn’t sure I was going to be able to do it but went for it tonight. Good luck for your run, hope it goes well!
