Waiting to recover from covid19

My last run was 22 days ago Dec 14 when I completed W5R3. While I was planning ahead. Covid happened and here I am still coughing if exert myself. I just started walking today to check if my lungs would permit. Looks like it will take longer than 2-3 weeks for me to start running.

Missing all the fun and excitement that this program brings.

I would appreciate if people could share their experiences of how how they got back to running after being hit by covid.

Thanks. I will check it out. I am still fatigued. I am missing out all the fun. The more read the awesome progress that everyone is making, the more I feel left behind.

You are not the only one. I have not run since October having found it impossible to run through chemotherapy. It is now finished and I am slowly rebuilding my strength and hoping to restart C25K shortly.

Good to be reminded that I am not the only one forced to take a break.

I'm sorry to hear you've had the dreaded Covid. All I can say is that like Iannoda I have done the programme several times, after various injuries and illnesses, and I can tell you it will work just as well, and be just as much fun every time. Don't worry about being left behind, this is your journey and will still be there when you are well enough. I am another one not running at the moment, I had a bad fall a week or so ago that has curtailed my fun too...

Keep reading the posts here, and keep posting. Walking is brilliant, you're getting the fresh air and light and other benefits of running, just not quite so fast. That's what I'm doing anyway.

Thanks for the support. I know that we are all competing against ourselves. Sometimes i forget. Good to be reminded.
