Week 9, Run 2 (cramp et al. )

Hi guys, so I just did my week, nine, run 2. It is that time of the month, and I was feeling crampy and not up to it but today is RUN DAY.

So it was one of those things where I was like should I go, or should I wait..... then i decided to do it anyway.

Um, but it was a really humbling run in the sense of I didn't really care about how fast I was going. And there was a point where I was like, oh, I'll just do 10 minutes, and then after 10 minutes Il stop at 15 minutes, and then after that I was just like, let's just do the whole thing. So I did it.

I ended up on a trail before i finished which was actually really lovely, and that's something that I realised that I will do more of, with road runs. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED. Also you forget your running. 😉

In terms of my energy it was not the best and my performance reflected this... but afterwards, I was so relieved I did it, and I managed to do a lot of things around the house, which would otherwise have not been done.

While I wouldn't say it's a nice run, I would say that it's worthwhile doing it because I had a bit more energy to do some things around the house. It was a very humbling run, and I discovered something new. So in that way it was worthwhile and I can't use cramp as an excuse anymore. 😂😂😂

That's so brave of you to give it a try even with cramps and then discover that you could do the whole run - did it make a difference to the cramps afterwards?

Hi Zip54, yes it did, the cramps went. I had some energy too, usually am down in the dumpsters so the run helped a lot.

Sounds like you've found your natural pace as you have not "left everything out on the field." Carry on like that for graduation and you may be able to reward yourself with a quicker last two minutes and a good distance, but if not most important of all, just make sure you FINISH! Nice late Christmas present (like Royal Mail) of graduation coming your way.
