I am on week 4 but hadn’t been able to run since last Monday so today was a killer! I found the 3 mins hard enough but boy 5 mins was tough! But I did it and feel pleased with myself. I repeat each week until I feel that I’ve built up my stamina enough to move on. So although on week 4 I’ve been doing C25k for about 12 weeks. I’ll get there eventually!

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

If any run is hard work, just slow down.

You won't have lost any fitness by not running for a week..........more likely you went too fast.

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
