1. at the end of my run, I got an ache around the bottom / back of my lunges when breathing in. My mother thinks it might be because of the chilly air (3°C and I did not use my buff). I have no idea. It is better now, about 10 minutes after my run. I'll keep my eye on it...
2. my legs.... When starting there is no problem, but after a while my legs start to feel very heavy and tired. When I have walked in between, it is better for a minute and then they are back to heavy. And it seems as if every time (every running day) it grows worse.
I know I probably don't drink enough, but I drink already more than I normally do. And I did not have this heavy leg thing a few years back when I ran.
I do have Rheumatic Artritis and am on heavy meds for it (monthly IV's + regular meds on top), maybe that has to do something with it?
I don't know, but it does put me down a bit. Maybe I just have to bite through it and maybe it will get better. I don't kniwow. All I know is I like running at the moment, but the heavy legs feeling feels like a heavy bummer...
That's all great, but if you are not drinking a minimum of 2.5 litres per day, running or not, then you do risk all the side effects of poor hydration, as described in the linked post above.
Well done Hidden i messed up my time table so we’re on the same runs now, so hey they buddy!! I’m sorry you had some issues today, definitely try to drink more water.. x
The aches in my lunges I have no idea about, but definately going to keep an eye on it. If it keeps happening, I'll go see a doctor. My blood is being checked every other week at the hospital (because of getting monthly IV's), so not too worried about my health as yet.
But I do worry I am too sedentary, especially since February with all the lock downs. I works from home now and I hardly ever get up from my seat. That can also be a reason of the heavy legs. I am now looking for a desk bike or something alike to regularly use during the day so I don't sit still the whole day.
I will try to drink more, thinking about it I do think I get 2,5 liter in per day if I count along my 2 cups of soup each day though. I did not count the soup before only my water. But fluids are fluids.
