Consolidation Runs 1-4

Good morning all! I haven't posted on here in a while, I think since I graduated actually. So I thought that I would make a quick post just to say - I'm still running! It was a bit touch-and-go after I graduated because I sprained my foot and wasn't able to run for over a week, but as soon as it was better I dived right back in. Running for 30 mins was a bit hard on my first 3 runs but on the 4th run which I did last Friday, it felt great so I definitely feel as though I'm back in the game! I'm not running as much as I would like mainly because it's hard for me to run in the cold weather, but I did run with my face mask on last time and it helped so much! I had to remove my glasses, and coupled with the foggy weather I could barely see but I did 30 mins and a sprint at the end.

I just want to say another big thank you to everyone who helped me on my journey to graduation and thereafter. I always wanted to be the kind of person who wakes up in the morning and goes for a jog before breakfast but it always seemed like a pipe dream - but I woke up on Friday at 7.30am in order to jog so clearly something's happened! If you're doing C25K now, just know that it's completely achievable and you can do it! Have a good day everyone :) x

Glad to see you posting again Elena 👍 and well done on the runs. I know how frustrating injuries (especially to your ankles) can be but you've got back in the game when your body has let you 🏃‍♀️👏I think we're all surprised at how much we look forward to our runs now and fingers crossed you're back on schedule 🤞

Thank you! :) Yes it is so frustrating but I'm glad that I listened to my body, in the past I probably would have pushed myself and ended up quitting. I will definitely look forward to the runs more when it's not freezing cold outside haha! 👍

It is tempting to push through - I have had to tread carefully with my injuries, otherwise I risked a more serious injury. 😩 My trainers were way too expensive for me to stop running though 🤣Although the cold weather makes my nose run too much I quite like running when it's frosty and cold! 🏃‍♂️❄

Yes same for me. I need to get new trainers - where are yours from? & I agree, I love how the cold helps when running but when I went on Friday I had literal icicles on my eyebrows, eyelashes & hair!

I went to a little, local, specialist running shop - they did gait analysis and I ended up with some Asics
