I decided today that I needed to slow down as my previous run exhausted π΄ me. I also put my short trousers π on as I have been so hot π₯΅ in my long cold π₯Ά weather ones.
Well what a difference these little tweaks made to my run πββοΈ!! I felt in control, my breathing was good π and I drunk some water π¦ every time I felt a little out of buff.
I managed to run πββοΈ 5km in 40 minutes and I am so chuffed as Iβve never run two 5kms in a month!!
I think this is a little bit of experience kicking in! Along with listening to my body.
Most importantly I actually enjoyed it and was buzzing π at the end.
Happy π Sunday to all. xπ

What a great post and a great run, congratsπππ. "Most importantly I actually enjoyed it and was buzzing π at the end." ππππthat's just fabulous....the absolutely best part. Lurvin itπ¦ππ’πββοΈπ
Congratulationsππ I get cold easily abs take my time to warm up, but then I have to peel layers 10 min into my run. Iβll try my CR1 with less layers & see if that makes a difference!
I get cold π₯Ά too but seem to warm up quickly so have learnt not to put too much on. Itβs odd though to be running π past people with winter coats π§₯ on.
Yes that was me a few weeks ago when it got cold & I went out early, had my down jacket on over my running top π has to take it off & tie it round my waist 12 min later, but there was one morning I ran with it on all the way! π well done with the 5Ks, thatβs a great achievement ππ
I think you just need to find out what works for you. I will definitely go slow again & also not run when tired π΄. Itβs just doesnβt work for me.
