Returning to Running

And yes, I did what I swore I would never do; I stopped running from May to November, after having graduated last December. But I started again from week 4. I have done that this week and will now continue to the end again. The good news is my muscles sort of remembered my running, so I didn’t feel too awful. This time I will certainly continue onwards and upwards. Thought any of you who have let slip might find it useful to know that you may not feel too dreadful if you pick the programme up from half way in or so.

Well done on getting started again, I did the same this year after illness forced me to stop, it was hard at first but you soon get back into the swing of things.

Also, what a lovely picture, lucky you if this is where you get to run.

Ah, thanks for the reassurance, Andy! Yes - I am very lucky - that is Halnaker Windmill in the South Downs.

I guess January and February are difficult months to get out running, and then you lose the habit. Well done for getting back into it :)

I managed (and liked) last winter! It was the insanity of wfh during lockdown no. 1 that led to me stopping, illogically!
