Week 9 done!

Well 9 weeks ago I was feeling sick after running for a minute.

9 weeks later I can run (slowly!) for 30 minutes fairly comfortably.

I actually did it! I am so happy πŸ˜€

What an amazing programme this is.

Thank you.

Congratulations on your achievement. It is such an amazing programme and I still can’t believe I couldn’t run for a minute and now happily do 5k (but slowly!)

Enjoy your success and happy running.

Congratulations Tessie I hope you celebrated last night and are basking in glory. It’s a great program and I agree that first go is a shock to the system one minute seems impossible but you are a runner now πŸ€—πŸ₯³. Beware you will soon enjoy browsing running shoes! Go you 😁

Congratulations! It’s like magic isn’t it?! I’m here to also confirm you CAN keep running AND get to 5k and maybe even further πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ I know - you say you won’t, but so did I 🀣. I’ve a similar history to you - older (on the outside at least) and absolutely NO running history. I finished the program in July β€˜18 and I’m still going. Some runs went well but there were also periods when I was unsure so it won’t all go well but don’t lose heart. Good luck and very well done.

Oh thank you. That’s really encouraging.I do feel quite amazed at how quickly this all happened and am determined to keep running now. You have made me more hopeful about that elusive 5K! Thanks again for taking the time to spur me on!

Great that you've achieved this- I, too thought I would throw up after one minute on my first run!- I am now at week 8 and able to run for 28 mins. I don't know how this plan works, but it certainly does! Great achievement.

Ah thank you! It really is a brilliant plan isn’t it? Well done yourself, you are so almost there. Those extra 2 minutes are very achievable and just feel amazing when completed! Enjoy your runs...

I can't say I actually 'enjoy' the runs yet - it's just a great feeling completing them and I've always needed to challenge myself!- 10k here I come!!!

Thanks so much. I’ve just found and read your great posts (I think we must have both started C25K at the same time? Wish I’d seen them sooner...) Good luck with that final run. Enjoy your celebrations and happy running 😁
