Week 6 run πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ 1

Felt quite sluggish tonight - it was the 8 minute run πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ that seemed to go on and on. I seemed to breeze through run 3 of week 5 still I suppose everyone has there off days πŸ˜€ onwards and upwards πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

congratulations on completing your longest workout to date.

It catches out more people than any other run in the plan.

Glad I’m not the only one πŸ˜€ - I wonder why that is πŸ€”

Purely psychological, I believe.

After running for twenty minutes non stop, a degree of overconfidence often creeps in and this session just puts your feet back on the ground.

You got it done, that is all that matters.

I positively hated every run in week 6 I think πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I think I’m also exaggerating a bit πŸ™„πŸ˜‚.

I knew from reading everyone’s posts what to expect so actually run 1 wasn’t exactly awful . Run 2 was πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I didn’t even post about it I was so ou5 of sorts πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Run 3 though was back to no split just running and it put me back in a better mood .

Once you are running after wk 6 there’s no run/walk etc just run.

You’ll hear people talking about the β€˜toxic ten’ which for some ( not all) is the first ten minutes of your run when everything seems just rubbish as your body is once again getting over the shock of you making it run πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ once over that first wee while you settle into the run , get into your stride etc.

So looking back it was like wk6 runs were the toxic 8/10 mins then you stopped . Then had to get yourself going again just for another 8/10 mins .

So I think that’s what I found really just plain unsatisfactory somehow πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

So my abiding memory of wk 6 was I didn’t like it but I needed to do it to get to wk 7 πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚

I hated the week 6 runs too! I think it’s quite a common complaint. Just get through it and next week will be better!

We all get runs like that, no rhyme or reason, it just happens, your next one will be much better I’m sure. You’re doing great Alisonjb πŸ‘πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ
