I'm a 59 year old male weighing 100K and have managed to struggle through the last 8 weeks.... I managed 3.9K in 28 mins but am not getting too stressed about the distance aspect. The main benefit I've experienced is that almost from the beginning of the run i am able to get into a rhythmic breathing pattern that enables me to 'plod on regardlessly'. After 'fighting' with my breathing for the first 7 weeks this is a welcome change. Next week (W9) I'm thinking I may be able to do 4-4.5KM in 30 mins or so. Anyway here's hoping......
cheers

I am 54 and never been a runner. Just done W5R3 and was worried about stepping up to 20min run. Steady breathing helps. Keep up the good work, nearly there
Well done Tonym182 you’re doing well, what you say is spot on, the secret is to get your breathing into a good rhythm and then your legs will just keep going....Good Luck for Week 9, Graduation Day is now in sight 🎓 👀
