Wk#6 R#2 - sharp hamstring pain?

I ran the week 6 run #2 yesterday. It was a cold, misty day but I avoided rain. For the first time running, I had a sharp pain in my left hamstring. It lasted about 3-4 minutes and eventually it went away. I'm just wondering whether there's a problem I need to be conscious of?

Did it last long? sometimes we can get a short sharp pain that goes away and never reappears. That's OK! Maybe it's down to not warming up properly, maybe something got pinched, maybe it was a cramp ... I have no idea, but would be guided by what happened next. If it went away, don't worry about it. If there were lasting effects then it needs to be considered. It's good practice to always make sure you're well warmed up before starting your run.

It went away and I was able to run the next day. I'm going to get more serious about the warm up. Thanks
