Just finished Run 3 of Week 9, that's my Graduation Run finished, so I'm now off to the graduation page to request my badge. I finished work, got home just after six, on the drive home I was eyeing the dark clouds, wondering if it was going to rain. Maybe I should put it off till tomorrow?
No, I'll gird my loins, saddle up Scamp, and get out there. This last run went very well, very tiring going up the first half mile which is a muddy rocky track, then when I got to what I call The 5 Minute Point I found I was about 10 seconds early. Result!
I carried on round the edge of the woods, and onto the farm track, then Sarah told me I was half way through, time to turn round, and I was feeling fine. I can run for 30 minutes fairly well now, but my little legs just wont stride out any further so I'm not covering a lot of ground. I think I managed just over 4k today in the thirty minutes, but I kept going, just like a real runner.
I started this program in the first week of July, I remember my very first go...and here I am 9 weeks later, all done and dusted.
