I found the last 5 minutes of running a struggle tonight but always feel a sense of achievement once Iβve finished. I had a hip replacement in March last year which was a total shock and wasnβt sure if I could run but I have proved I can! I am quite proud of myself for getting this far and will continue to take it one step at a time - onwards and upwards π

Cool!!
Week 5 doesn't look too bad really... what's your thoughts on it??
Lizzie xx
How do you check what the next run is going to look like xx
Thanks for this post. I did my w4 R2 today and really struggled with the last 5 mins. It's good to know it wasn't just me who felt like this.
Good luck for your next run!
Glad I wasnβt the only one struggling! Itβs good to hear other peopleβs experiences and encouragements. Let me know how you get on with run πββοΈ 3 x
Hi Alison, well done on your week 4 running!! I am embarking on week 4 on Sunday and having looked ahead at the runs am dreading that 5 mins! 3 mins is hard enough! But seeing you writing here that you are doing it gives me encouragement to just keep going with it. Thank you for that! I hope that week 5 goes ok...! Eve
Well done! I haven't had to cope with any major op, but have totally hit a wall in week 4, so am very impressed with your achievements.
Thatβs great! Iβm repeating week 4 as although I get to the end of the five minutes I am barely jogging by then. Feel it should be easier. Maybe I have to move to week 5 to build up stamina...
Well done Alison and all runners, always seems extra special when anyone is running with additional issues, physical or otherwise. I just completed w4 yesterday and am so pleased, I'm late 60s and have arthritic lower back, but it's fine. I start w5 Saturday and my plan is to jog as slow as poss, but keep going. My head says speed up as an ex sprinter from school days! but I know I wouldn't last so hold back. As you say, onwards and upwards.
Good luck with every run!
How did your run go? I did mine yesterday and was a game changer as I listened to everyone's advice about slowing down a little. Hope yours went well! X
