I had hoped to get out yesterday for my second run but rain halted play. Much the same today really but I did get a break in the weather earlier, just long enough it turned out before the heavens opened again!
Anyway I was ready for a run today and eager to get out but I still felt sluggish during that first 5 minutes or so. After all this time I should know that this is how it starts off until my body hits the turbo charge button...
It's like I can physically feel the change and think okay, now I'm ready to step it up πββοΈπββοΈ
Settled down and by the half way mark I was comfortable and once again happy that I was making the effort to get out. Just turned the corner into a little side track that I use sometimes and nearly tripped over this little beauty (see pic)!!! She didn't even stop eating as I passed her and she didn't seem to mind me jogging on the spot to take a quick pic either π₯°
Things like this melt my heart and remind me of how lucky I am to have nature like this around me. Spurred me on for the next 10 minutes...
It was only the last few minutes that I felt a bit jaded but kept the pace up and glad to get my second consolidation run under my belt.
Yes the first time I heard them barking wondered what on Earth it was π - we have huge families of them around here so I'm used to it now but I recorded the sound the first time and had to YouTube it.
Occasionally hear them round here on the edge of the forest. Really eerie sound like something out of a horror film, especially at night along with owls and foxes!
Lovely run, lovely deer, lovely post.

Thank you WW and well done again on your own run πͺπ
Well done on your run. Great picture and must be so nice to have nature around you.
Iβm hoping to do my consolidation run tomorrow or Sat. Donβt think weather will be on my side but I think we all are going to have to get used to the UK weather π.
Well done on keeping the motivation going too ππ»ππ»ππ»
What an amazing run Burkey!!! I havenβt really looked at posts enthusiastic week but this just brought me back down to earth! I love that everyone is still getting out there and going for it.
Well done Burkey - youβve inspired me again!!!! I have only managed 1 run since last week although Iβve walked loads.
I walk with my dogs every day so it takes a big push to make me do a run aswell on top. Finding it a bit harder to motivate myself post graduation but hoping I can keep it up VP πͺπ
Definitely going to try to keep it up. I already feel more lethargic in the morning. Half term will soon be upon me so Iβm hoping to keep going 3 times a week at the week 9 pace until then and hopefully push things a bit during that week π€π»π€π»π€π»π€π»π€π». I would love to run 5k - just to prove to myself (and my two boys) that Iβm not past it πππππ.
Keep going Burkey! Iβll be back out tomorrow evening - with the newly groomed Ollie π±π±π±. (Love how I booked his grooming and my own is just a frizzled mop at this stage ππππ)
I nearly didn't. I just whispered to her that she was okay and I wasn't a threat and had to carry on. Silly I know but she looked such a timid little thing
You go girl and well done on your run! What a cute deer too, lovely surprise π
All sounding great Burkey, what a lovely happening upon, we have muntjac around here, lots of squirrels, pheasants, all been so busy recently scampering about getting ready for Winter, so good for lifting the spirits π€
