Hi, a bit of advise needed please.
I’ve had to take 5 days off as had a calf muscle injury.
Do I start again on the programme where is was before (Wk8 Run2) or do I go back a couple of weeks.

Hi there, to be honest I would probably just stay at the same run as before. 5 days isn't really that long a break so you should be fine, but if you find yourself struggling then maybe go a few runs back?
After just 5 days I would start where I left off, shouldn't be a problem.
I had 16 days off after week 8 run 1 and picked up where I left off.
You won't really loose any fitness in the first 2 weeks 👍
The same happened to me and five days rest seemed fine to pick it up where I’d left off.
But be cautious. I went for a slower run rather than usual pace; very slow and easy and keep a mind on how the leg feels all the while, being prepared to stop and wait another day. 🙂
As stated in the guide to the plan, healthunlocked.com/couchto5... you lose no significant condition in the first two weeks of non running.
After that loss of condition is gradual.
All any of us can do after a lay off is to go out and see what we can comfortably manage, then build back up gently, using C25k or something similar as a guide to weekly increase.
