hi everyone I have just downloaded the app and am planning on starting on Wednesday, has anyone got any tips for me I feel a bit clueless.
I had a really bad year last year and am doing this for health reasons and to try and reset myself to a happier way of life, I keep hearing exercise is a great way to start, but I will be honest I have a habit of failing at the starting block any advise would be grateful.
Thank you Ninjacat

Congratulations on going to start C25K and welcome to the forum, takeall the runs slowly, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, no running on consecutive days as that could cause a injury, good luck for your running journey with C25K, onwards and upwards, report back here on your progress.
thanks for your words of encouragement, I had not seen my email with the invitation to see/listen to the site tour, i am even more excited to get started now and i will be regularly posting updates of my progress in the hope it will encourage me to see this through to the end.
The only advice I could give is run to your pace so it feels comfortable but a little bit challenging. Don’t try to keep up with anyone . That way you will be able to finish every run. Good luck!
As well as keeping it slow, I would say don't worry about keeping the C25k weeks to the calendar weeks. It's better to repeat runs if you don't complete one or delay runs rather that let a niggle turn into a proper injury. Keep popping back here for advice and motivation, and posting is a good way of feeling like you have some accountability. Have fun, it's not as daunting as you might expect!
thank you I haven't listened to the app yet I didn't realise I could repeat runs, that's gonna help massively and I will definitely be posting after every run as a bit of a diary I think.
Go slowly. Read the essential guide posted here. Keep posting questions here, and take it run by run.Remember you don’t have to stick to calendar weeks, and you can repeat runs that you find difficult. I started thinking that I’d try and complete the 9 week programme over 12 weeks, and that permission to go at my pace helped me feel less worried about what I was achieving and by when.
I made a playlist of happy, summery, sing along at the top of my voice in the car type songs - that made a HUGE difference for me. It meant I started the warm up walk grinning.
I’ve also taken selfies of my red smiley face at the end of each run so that if I ever wobble I can look at them and remember what I felt like at the end!!
There’s also a link to advice on a positive mindset - easier said than done, but worth looking at.
And finally, just take it slowly. It’s not about speed or distance, it’s just about duration.
You can do it! And come back here and tell us when you’ve done your first run 🏃🏻♀️ 🙌💥 you’ve got this!
I love walking but feel like have not been out for so long and I am in an unfamiliar town, I'm hoping that I can use the running to explore my new area. I have read some really inspirational things today and its help massively.
