That's nice! I have a similar story - a man at my allotment who's just retired but also had serious illness which he's now cured of, saying he's going to start cto5k after hearing me enthuse about it to him. I do hope he does it!
Just by being out there we are all changing the norms of society and illustrating that normal people of all ages, shapes, weights, sizes, abilities and disabilities can and do run.
Oh how lovely! What a nice little boost. I've had a couple of neighbours saying similar positive things and it just gives you that nice fuzzy feeling inside that you are doing something special 🙂
That’s great . It’s funny in wk 1/2 I was very self conscious and would try not to bump into my neighbours, especially since I was probably at my most huffing anD puffing stage back then One lady in particular always walked her dog at the same time , but one day she was coming towards me on a bike and shouted ‘ I’m taking a leaf out your book’ as she cycled past !
