5k done

Graduated a few weeks ago and have been gradually increasing the time and distance. This morning finally ran 5k! Time was 39 minutes so feeling quite pleased. Slow and steady increases are definitely the key. Love running now and would love to run every day but realise that would not be a good idea. Not bad for a 60 year old, if I do say so myself. Have so much more energy now. Got my sister on this programme now.

Well done.

Keeping the increases nice and gentle is definitely the way to go.

Have you read the guide to post C25K running? healthunlocked.com/couchto5... it's full of tips.

Yes, thanks and it’s great advice. It really chimes with me as definitely feel ‘superhuman’ at time but realise that’s far from the truth. I read this all, and more, as definitely want to make this a long term change.
