We were all new once (I started in July). You will be amazed at how quickly you progress and pick up the running bug. Have fun!

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Congratulations on completing the most important and hardest runs of the program. As someone already said, prepare for the running bug to hit!

I started in May having never run before, and was nearly sick on that first run! Honestly I’ll remember the 11th May forever 😂. I managed my first 5k run two months later. That’s how well the plan works.

I look forward to following your progress.

Brilliant, great job Paulabia! I've missed my morning run as woke up too late, so will be making up for it tomorrow morning😅, I've only started this program but found that each of the runs clears your head for the rest of the day so will do my best to keep going. As the graduates say, you just need to put one foot in front of the other...

See you in W2!

I’m on week 3 and surprising myself as I’m really enjoying it!

I completed the program 2 years ago, struggled almost every week, didn’t enjoy it so didn’t keep up running.

Difference this time is taking it slower doing a proper warm up and cool down and using this forum. It’s a great help.

Good Luck and keep us posted.
