I realise me getting my final run in is not exactly important in the general scheme of things and whilst for others there is the potential of flooding and power cuts but I am so over this rain ๐ซ๐ซ
Iโm a fairly positive โitโll be better in the morningโ type of person but when you can hear the weather before you open the curtains a certain amount of resignation is required.
We have 40km north east winds, the rain has been continual , all the wet weather gear is drying in the garage and the dog took one look out the door and has fled upstairs under a bed .
He too will need to accept his fate soon .๐ถ๐
Iโve just taken some recycling out to the bin and have to say my pace was pretty impressive though โ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธโ๏ธ
So R2 was late too due to rain too , got it done Friday but have to say I didnโt enjoy๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ Went off too fast and had nothing left at the end . Thought Iโd knocked that sort of behaviour on the head ๐๐
So for my final run my only goal is to enjoy it ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ
But I know that is up to me , I need to stay steady ( plod is the other word ๐)
Also I didnโt figure on this weather , I have been totally lucky with it so far too ๐
However the good thing is that there is no ambiguity or โhumming and hawingโ required ..... it is absolutely wild out there .
Quite like a bit of wild weather normally , my favourite time to walk the beach is autumn & winter but not today ๐๐
Today will be about lots of coffee , finishing the book Iโm reading , watching ( and listening ) the wind and rain and remembering that although we humans think weโre in control itโs still the Planet thatโs in charge ๐๐ง๐จ๐ฌ๐
So maybe tomorrow ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ
Will content myself with watching a bit of the marathon to see how it should be done ๐๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
Meanwhile I am off to see if I can coax Cooper( the dog) from under the bed and get wet โ๏ธ๐พโ๏ธ๐พ๐ถ

Iโm on W9/R2 today and like you want to enjoy it so I too watch the weather. Iโve decided thereโs no race to complete itโs about doing it, so after today Iโll be hoping for another nice ish day to do R3 this week ๐ค
Thanks - todayโs was good had a nice bit of sunshine. Wednesday looks not bad so a couple of days rest should help - might try to finish on 5k - did 4K today so weโll see. Good luck on your runs ๐ hereโs to life after C25k for us ๐ค
There are some days when the weather is just so abominable it's not worth going out. For me that was yesterday. And this morning we have sunny spells here (rain expected later).
An extra rest day will probably do you good. Dragging the drenched doggie round outside will keep you active.
Iโm W9R1 today...with a brightening window opening up this afternoon. I was going to go back to the River Walk today...but I know some people are finishing their VLM there, so I think Iโll give it a miss! ๐
๐Great post - well done on your speedy recycling! ๐
Here's hoping tomorrow is calmer and drier - but you've put in the work and you've come this far - tomorrow is the celebration of all you've worked for - go out there and enjoy it!๐๐
I canโt believe I didnโt even hear about the Marathon being on today, otherwise I think I might have made an effort to graduate today. That would have felt rather fitting ๐
Ah well, itโs nice to pause with coffee, reading etc. Good luck tomorrow ๐๐ผ
I bet you were itching to get out even if your canine companion was less so ๐. Like you say, at least there was no second guessing the weather; it looked dreadful! You'll be raring to go by the time things do settle and hopefully it'll be lovely so you can just enjoy your graduation run ๐
