Not great run today

Went out after lunch but first one on streets. I really struggled and a really slow run with a little walking. Never had to walk before and definitely early morning run is better for me but had no choice due to heavy rain. Hopefully back to routine runs next week on Mon, Tues and Wed. At least I went out but worst run for ages so going to write off today and start afresh next week and run early morning prior to breakfast as I normally do and for 30 mins I hope.

I notice that you graduated less than a month ago but you say you are going to run on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.............for a very new runner this is not at all wise.

Have you read the guide to post C25K running healthunlocked.com/couchto5... which includes a link to an article about running on consecutive days, which is not recommended until you have at very least six months of regular running on your legs.

When you run, the impact creates microtears in your muscles, which repair and strengthen on your rest days, not while running. Without rest, repair and strengthening are compromised and injury risk increased. You need to do a great deal of development before running consecutive days.
