as it turns out I really like running in the rain... it cools you down, although I think I need a jacket of some sort... any recommendations would be most welcome!

W6r2 complete... after the nasty comment I got shouted at me on Thursday, I really really didn’t want to do this run today, but I pushed myself and I managed to do it yay. Really not looking forward to w6r3 :/ please send positive thoughts my way for my next run!!

Well done Hattie! Glad you’ve found you like running in the rain, it may prove useful over the winter months! I have a jacket which I bought in Decathlon so fairly cheap. It’s really a wind jacket but would probably help in a light shower . But it usually comes off quickly because I get too hot. If you have a completely waterproof jacket, it may keep the water out but as you get hotter, there’s nowhere for the sweat to go! As skin is waterproof, it maybe easier to get wet and look forward to a hot shower when you get home! Happy running!

You’re doing brilliantly HattieCooke, I’ve just been catching up with your previous posts....firstly great choice of coach Jo Whiley, she has a really reassuring voice👍 secondly ignore the School fool he’s being a dick 👎 thirdly.....Approach W6R3 with a more positive mindset, if your already not looking forward to it, it won’t be good....instead just focus on how far you’ve come and what you’ve achieved, go out there and say to yourself I’m going to smash this today....be focused and positive. Take a look at my previous post ‘Bed to 5k’ there’s a link on there to a You Tube motivational video I always use to get me going, and another one on my Jump Leads post.....come on HattieCooke you’ve got this 💪🏻🏃‍♀️

Well done to you, and that's a very expressive photo. 👍

I chickened out this morning. I was all kitted up ready to go out and the heavens opened. A quick look at the rain radar (netweather.tv/live-weather/... at how the band of heavy rain was moving convinced me that I'd missed this morning's window. Tomorrow it is.

Don't worry about W6R3. Your earlier runs have prepared you for it.

Can’t help you about the jacket - I don’t have one myself.

But it’s absolutely fantastic that you have completed this run after that ****** abused you last week. This shows how strong a person you are and that, if you want to, you can overcome adverse things and succeed. Remember that and you will succeed on the next run - and all the ones to come after it. WELL DONE YOU 😀👏🏻

Well done on your run, that’s fab! I bought a rainproof jacket for my first winter season of running, but soon stopped wearing it, as I just got far too hot. I just get wet now, and don’t mind that!
