Rain, rain, rain from start to finish and you know what ?

i loved it haha

Thats week 4 run 2 in the bag .

i wasn't looking forward to it because i struggled a bit with run 1 on tuesday and of course because of the rain today, but this went fine .

it was really quite refreshing ! so, really broke in the new shoes now that are stuffed with paper drying out ready for Saturday!

i was overtaken on my last 5 minute run by another runner !

he had a cyclist pacing him !

he smiled as he passed and said good morning , i just had enough breath to reply 'It was till i saw YOUR pace' haha

he just laughed and disappeared into the distance .

i usually find the 2nd run each week is a bit better than the first, (so far), i guess it's obvious really ! but this one was definitely more comfortable , i actually felt at the end that yes!! i can do this running lark haha

and on tuesday i arrived back home before my last run had finished and ended up going round in circles to finish my run and get my cool down in, but today i turned around at the halfway bell and guess what !

i was back perfectly timed haha

So, feeling good !

any doubts have been replaced by a positive buzz !

bring on run 3 on Saturday and then BRING ON WEEK 5 on Monday !

Yes but I think it will be much later, stuck 35 miles away with my car in the garage. I’m determined to go as I’ve just treated myself to a chocolate fudge brownie. I only ate half but still, it good for the diet 😂🤣😂 I have walked 2.5 miles so far today though

It's a weird feeling isn't it, to enjoy running in the rain! I did my W7R2 in a downpour earlier today and just loved it - I always find I have a better run, no idea why!
