When you start to run you very soon realise that we can be under the weather and carry out everyday activities with no difficulty, while exerting ourselves with strenuous physical exercise is much more difficult.
When we run we stress our bodies and if we are already fighting a bug or cold, then that stress may not do us any good. If I know that I am not 100% well then I either don't run or I reduce my demands and expectations.
Running while not well is unlikely to be enjoyable and can exacerbate the illness......far better, in my opinion, to wait a few days, fully recover and resume pleasurable running.

I completely agree with Iannodatruffe. I’ve just taken a few days off with a tummy bug. Today will be a gentle trotette listening to my body. 😄
