W7R1 Breakthrough run; with a blister πŸ™„

So having wittered on far too long the other day about my πŸŽ„πŸ©² I’ll try and keep this to the point!!

This morning I completed my first run of W7. It felt different somehow (not just because of my blister πŸ₯΄) as for the first time I really felt in control, able to adjust my pace as required, looking around and dare I say it, maybe starting to enjoy it a bit 🀭

The whole thing about the blister on my instep makes me realize what a total novice I am at all this as it turns out that my lovely new running socks, have a L and R which my husband pointed out after I was complaining to him that my new, very expensive socks, had caused me damage 😠I hadn’t noticed the tiny gold L and R in the pattern so numpty here accidentally wore them on the wrong feet on my run on Sunday hence the blister... totally self inflicted πŸ™„ Anyway, despite the discomfort which didn’t really worsen until the end, when Jo told me to, and KC and the Sunshine Band said β€˜Put on my Boogie Shoes’ I sure did and managed to run faster for the last minute. It did mean a limp warm down walk though instead of the usual brisk one.

However today, for the first time I really felt proud of myself, it felt my best run yet and filled me with confidence. I’ve been incredibly lucky (so far 🀞) and once the early niggles, aches and pains went I’ve had no additional issues, so if the worse thing I suffer with is a self inflicted blister by the end of W9 I shall feel incredibly thankful πŸ™

There have been some more fantastic, heartwarming posts and achievements posted over the last couple of days that continue to inspire and motivate me, so thank you 😊

Onto W7R2 and just in case anyone was wondering (you know who you are πŸ˜…) I did indeed stick with the πŸŽ„πŸ©²

For someone who doesn’t know her left from her right, even if I’d seen the pattern in the socks it probably wouldn’t have made a difference!! πŸ˜‚

Anyway, I hope the blister heals fast.

Excellent post and well done you πŸ˜πŸ™Œ

I felt a similar feeling on the last run and hope to recapture it tonight which will be my first planned run of week 7.

Last two days have been pants weather with loads of rain β˜”οΈ but today is looking brighter. Plan then is to drink loads to hydrate to put me in with a shout of feeling the same during W7R1. Bring it on πŸ˜†πŸ˜œ

Blister much improved thank you and well done for getting in the hydration, I feel as though the water drinking thing is part of my daily routine.

Had heard the weather had been awful at home πŸ₯΄ hope it’s better for your run this evening. I did R2 yesterday but haven’t posted yet, had a bit of a day with one thing and another.

Good luck and am sure you will replicate that feel good factor πŸ˜ƒπŸ’ͺπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ
