Memories, memories, this morning I revisited the exact route that I ran my graduation run of C25K on 18th June 2018, today I walked the course on the promenade at Helensburgh, it certainly brought happy memories of my graduation run 27 months ago. π ππΎ π

Graduation run revisited
Looks a great spot to have done your graduation runπ
It's nice to reminisce like that.
What a good idea, Al. Did you listen to your C25K tutor as well? I regularly tune into Laura for sprint-jog runs.
Well done AlMoor, I rerun my C25K graduation route from time to timeπββοΈItβs an excellent opportunity to think how far youβve come and how C25K has changed your life!π
That's lovely and what a super place. Fortunately I rerun my graduation route on a regular basis. We'll never forget That Feeling! Happy running π
That looks a lovely place to run or walk Alan - happy runniversary!
My runniversary was the 18th June, today I walked the same route that I gratuated 27 months ago, it is a lovely place to run or walk.
Helensburgh is lovely AlMorr , nice to revisit the place which has a special memory for you. Hope you have a great dayππ
Thanks Buddy34, it certainly did bring a happy memory for me, I could have ran it but as I hadn't got my running shoes with me I decided just to have a walk, I only saw one other runner, I am having a nice day, hope you are enjoying Lejog, you must be around the 100 miles distance.
Just back from a 10k run so that takes my total to 182 miles. ππ
Wow, 182 miles, well done on that latest 10K, not long now until you will be at 200 miles.
I've also been logging the longer dog walks with Buddy ππ

So yes I was in France - took a rather splendid photo too. It was two years ago and quite warm! Time 29.48 - Pace 6.03 Distance 4.9 km - I was quite disappointed at my distance - ah yes! I remember it well π€£
I don't see why you should be disappointed with your distance, you basically ran a sub 30 minute 5K on your graduation run, only around 10% of runners do that.
The best runs are alongside the sea, rivers, lakes and lochs.
My OneDrive On this day brought up photos of my first ever non-stop 5 km run, alongside Loch Linhe. 4 years ago.
Looks like a great spot to run AlMorr. You're certainly a man for detail. I couldn't tell you where I ran for my graduation! π
I will always remember the place I ran run 3 of week 5 which was around Linthgow Loch, about 15 miles east of where I live and Helensburgh which is about 25 miles west north west from my home where I ran my graduation run, it's a pity that you don't remember where you ran W9R3., never mind.
My C25k graduation run was supposed to be one of my regular routes alongside the golf course but when I got there the narrow path was full of golfers queuing (never seen that before or since). Obviously on such an important run I couldn't wait so I had to amend my route somewhat.
However I know precisely where my run was the following week - my first parkrun at Conkers. I was quite nervous but everyone was so nice and it was brilliant!
I suppose I would count the first parkrun I ran as almost as important as my graduation run of C25K, I had double the amount of replies and congratulations from the report of my first parkrun compared to the report of my graduation run, perhaps because there were 13 months between R3W9 and my first parkrun and as I am a regular on C25K that was the reason, the most amount of replies and congratulations I have had on the forum was when I ran 10 miles, I think I am third in replies and congratulations for anyone after TinyTears60 and Buddy34 for their graduation run and Half Marathon respectively, 4th was Buttercupkid and 5th Sallenson for their graduation run from C25K.
Did anyone ever find out why Sallenson dropped out of the Forum so abruptly? He was hugely popular, hope he didn't come a bad cropper or anything.
I have always wondered why Sallenson dropped off the forum so suddenly, his reports were so entertaining, I privately e mailed him asking how he was but I did not get a reply, if anyone knows what happened to him they could tell us on the forum, I hope you Irish John are keeping well.
Hopefully he is ok Al. I'm doing ok myself, will start driving to California and the Marine Corp Marathon Sunday. Had a most excellent ten mile training run yesterday so that's good - but I'm still wondering if I'm biting off more than I can chew lol
I was only wondering that last week!!! I used to enjoy his posts and rambles when I first started out
I always remember him replying to runners saying "EMBRACE YOUR. INNER. π SNAIL" not a term I had heard before. π ππΎ π
