Has anyone done a park run for their W9R3 graduation run?

Many, many folk have used a Park run for their 30 minute Graduation run :)

Good, I’m feeling pretty confident I’ve stuck to the plan rigidly and so far so good all in all I just don’t want to embarrass myself, thank you

Walked the whole thing in 48 minutes. Then each week did the program in it and walked the rest. Could run it all slowly by week 7 👌🏽

I see, that must have been a great motivator though

I didn’t... I needed to be just me and my daughter... but other than that I can’t think of a better place to graduate.

I graduated at parkrun last year. I wanted to prove to myself that I could run 5K as I wasn’t running that far in 30 minutes. I didn’t worry about the time, I just wanted the distance.

Be careful though, parkrun is addictive! I’m doing my 56th Parkrun on Saturday..

Good luck, you’ll love it. 🏃🏻‍♀️💪👏

Thank you janief and Clarefromclare, I’m doing 4K in 28 minutes which is amazing for me but i was worried about being too slow but it seems park run isn’t like that. I’ll give it my best xx

It’s definitely not like that. Lots of people walk it.

Graduating and completing your first parkrun will feel amazing!

Yes I did - but don’t do what I did and tear a muscle trying to do 5k in under 30mins! If you’re a novice runner who’s followed this C25k programme, then you’ve come a long way, but you need to allow a lot more time and distance to develop those muscles. Do the parkrun and have fun, but don’t start at the front and keep to a moderate pace - above all have fun!

No I won’t, I’ll be hiding at the back 🤪🤪
