Run for 30 minutes? - You’ve got to be joking!

Well that’s what all my mates said nearly 3 months ago. But this evening at around 7.00pm I finally did it for a third time. And boy does it feel good! A very modest distance covered it must be said - just short of 3 Ks. Around 10 minutes a K, I guess. Yes, I’m a proper nerd now with a Strava subscription. I might even have cracked 3 K if the last K hadn’t been all up (an albeit gentle) hill.

A big shout out to all who have encouraged me on the way, especially the administrators, and special mentions to Couchphoenix, my fellow septuagenarian Siverfox1943 and of course the incomparable Laura.

I shall continue on at my gentle plod and couldn’t care less if ( as is likely) I never do 5Ks in half an hour. But I would give half my pension to lose those extra 20 pounds !

Congratulations! It doesn't matter how far you ran but rather you can run continuously for 30 minutes.

You’re right Jane. I’ve found a lovely new woodland route nearby and I keep my head up now and smile!
