Does anyone know how to improve the accuracy of the map Strava records? At the moment I seem to be running through lots of people's front gardens, and comparing the mileage with plotting my route on mapometer, I'm losing about half a mile in the course of my run. I'm only on week 4, so that's quite a high proportion of the total distance! My daughter's maps seem to be much more accurate, so is it a function of the phone, and how often it picks up the GPS signal?

I think any phone based tracker will be a bit erratic, something with dedicated GPS is better.

Whoa, that’s a high % discrepancy. If your daughter is running the same app (and same run?) I reckon it’s the phone.
I’m a free Strava user and it seems to work okay. Though I might plot the route on OS app and compare it.

You’re better getting a garmin and syncing to Strava. Using a phone isn’t too accurate but nor is Strava anyway.
