Did anyone else find week 7 hard? I have managed to complete the three runs but I do feel tired.

You ran 4/25 minute runs probably in around 8 days, perhaps you ran a little too fast, for week 8 /28 minute runs, run them a little slower than you ran the week 7 runs, not long now until you graduate.

Thanks for your reply. I will try and run a little slower next week I really do want to get to the end as I enjoy it a lot.

The continuous runs can be tough, so find any distraction from thinking about time or the physicality of running..........music, audiobooks, podcasts or just giving yourself a running commentary on everything you can see, hear, smell and feel as you run.

Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.

Heavy legs can be symptomatic of poor hydration. As a runner you need to drink a minimum of 2.5 -3 litres of fluid each and every day, running or not, as mentioned in the guide.

Thanks for your advice I reckon audio books could be the way forward. I will also check the hydration. Thanks.

Yes!

I’ve also just completed week 7 this morning and feel like each 25 mins run was harder than the last😫😫

But it’s not been a great week with other factors (work, sick kids etc) so maybe other things have come into play (probably poor hydration as others have mentioned)

After my first 25 min run I felt like “well if I can run 25 mins, surely I am run 28/30. Why will that take two more weeks?!”

But this morning I was begging the last couple of minutes away!

I’m going to prepare better for next week and choose a slow paced song at the beginning for setting my pace. I think I’ve set off a bit too quickly the last couple of runs.

Thanks for your comments it has made me feel better. I have today completed run 1 week 8. It was easier than I had thought still a challenge but better than week 7.
