I have to admit I have struggled with week 7, so feel a huge sense of relief and achievement that I have finished it! I was shocked to find run 1 a HUGE challenge after week 6 seemingly flying by with ease. I missed run 2 on my normal running day as I was feeling exhausted, and found it really tough when I did it a couple of days later. I then had to push run 3 back a day as I was traveling. Run 3 was easier, I think it helped that it was completely new terrain (I spent the day visiting a relative at Southampton hospital so with the help of my trusty iPhone and maps.me app, I was able to find footpaths surrounding the hospital and do a circular run.) I got changed in the toilets where I found the baby changing table very useful to stack my stuff on, and my post run shower was on this occasion performed with a packet of wet wipes!!! I felt rejuvenated for the rest of the hospital visit. I think couch 25K has really helped me to deal with some fairly stressful situations over the past weeks, and I hugely appreciate it and all the encouragement and fellow posters on this forum. Reading through other people's struggles, and triumphs has really helped me to stick at week 7 even though I felt like I'd hit a brick wall. So thank you everyone πππβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈπππ. Week 8 I'm ready - bring it on (I think! π)
Completed week 7!!!: I have to admit I have... - Couch to 5K
Completed week 7!!!
Yes.. bring it on ! Very well done.. where there is a will.... ?
Well done you ππ I had my 2 worst runs in week7 and it was all the advise & encouragement from from everyone on here that kept me going! You are so right this programme & running helps so much to get you through stressful times! Keep up the great work you are nearly there.... ππππx
Enjoy your run you are probably on that last 5 minsπ... Keep going nearly there... π
Thank you!!! Did it & bizarrely found it much easier than week 7! I am finding it all very fascinating!!!
Me too! As weeks i think should be easier are not & i found on week 8 I could do 30mins instead of 28mins!! An amazing programme... keep running ππ
Bravo for 30 mins on week 8!!! I so hope I can pull that out of the bag on week nine. Felt confident after yesterday's run, but I guess it's the roller coaster effect that keeps it interesting!!!
It definately is!! O you will do it no botherπthere was a bit of mind set when I did it on week 8 & it was because of my two bad runs that I thought when I reached 28 mins il just try another 2 mins then I know I can finish this programmeπππ and it kept me going 1 more to do.... Either today or tomorrow as I have an apt tonight when I normally run so think it will be tomorrow!!! Exciting isn't itπππPhyllis
Well done. It is inspiring to read of your determination and inventiveness. Looking forward to reading your graduation post.
