Hi all, this is my 1st post and I thought I'd say hello and thank you to all the people who post on here with their experiences and advice regarding Couch to 5K. I am a 56 year old male and mild asthmatic who hasn't done any physical exercise for many years. Today I completed Wk 7 Run 3. The only blip I had on this journey (no pun intended) was in week 3 where I failed to run for 3 minutes in run 1 so I decided to repeat this week. Hopefully 2 weeks today I will be celebrating my 3rd 30 minute run. The only investment I've had to make is to buy a pair of running shoes.

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Well done. I did the exact same run this morning so we are at the same stage!
