Week 5 run 3 not completed

Hi all, I am new on here, reached week 5 run 2 completing all the runs and no repeating, very chuffed with myself :)

I took a few extra days break because of being away for work before run 3 which I tried today, felt very low energy and only managed to run just over 10 mins, walked 3 mins then ran the last 7 mins.

Should I re-do the whole week or just keep trying run 3 until I complete the full time?

Also did others get stuck at this stage, if so how long did it take you to complete it?

Thanks

Just do wk5r3 again no need to repeat the whole week. Also I took 3 attempts to complete this run . Have a rest day go out run slow and try again good luck 😊😊

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and includes advice on pacing.

No need to repeat the whole week. Have a rest day, making sure you are well rested and fully hydrated and give it another go but keep the pace down.

You can do this.

Enjoy your journey.

You practiced W5R3, there is no failure in C25K only practices.

When you retry the run start off slowly, 'belly' breathe and relax, a little smiling can also go along way too believe it or not.

Just take your time and you will do fine.

Well done for getting this far.

I didn't complete w5r3 on the first attempt and was pretty disheartened until my hubby and the lovely people on the forum reminded me how far I'd come.

So, I gave myself an extra day's rest and gave it another go, stayed slow and steady and completed it 2nd time of trying. I've continued the programme and am about to start week 9. If I can do it so can you.

I'd suggest you run w5r3 again until you complete the full 20 minutes. Even if it takes you a few goes you are building up your stamina each time. If you take it slow and steady it really helps.

Good luck. You can do it.
