Wk5 Run 1 ( did the run this morning)- after some sleep in the Highlands 😂💤

So after my debut ( rambling & longwinded) post last night got up with the sun and did the run 🙏

I find at 61 that all of life’s cliches are fairly true - in this case ‘things always seem better in the morning’

Let’s focus on the positives -

I did it 🎉

It appeared to get easier as I progressed 🤷🏼‍♀️👌

I met two people and shouted a very confident ‘Good Morning’ as I effortlessly (?) and gracefully(???) jogged past .

One was neighbour who was out on her bike as she had decided to ‘take a leaf out of my book’ ( I kid you not 👌💪)

It was a beautiful Autumn morning

I did not attempt any u-turns or nipping down lanes at all 😉

I feel great 🙂✨

Negatives -

Me and my phone 🤦‍♀️ I have got to ‘get a grip’ . Managed to lose the podcast almost immediately , got going and then did the same thing just before last 5 min run 🙈

Just timed it on my Fitbit though so it’s all good .

Still that first minute is like I’m ‘Ghost of Jacob Marley’ dragging my chains 🤷🏼‍♀️

Overall a great start to my day 🙂

I am hopeful that I’ve attached photos which will be both positive and negative ( it’s what got me in trouble with my phone 🙄)

That all sounds VERY positive! If you're only dragging your chains for one minute, that should be in the positives (I'm a total 'toxic ten', every time). Week 5 is a great week in the program - enjoy!

Maybe the chain dragging is on a ‘pro rata’ basis 😂

I may have more to look forward to 😉
