Anyone tried OnCloud shoes?

I keep seeing adverts for On Cloud running shoes and wondered if anyone had any experience of them? And does anyone have alternate pairs of shoes or do you always run in the same shoes all the time?

My daughters sell them ! I got a pair but I didn’t get on with them . Everyone is different tho so they may suit you. I get mild PF in one foot and it made mine worse! I just got some Nike Renew and they are perfect for me! Once I get passed week 5 I’m going to get my gait done and fitted properly.

I’ve not heard of them so can’t comment but as to same shoes, I run in several different pairs, i have several pairs of reeboks that i use for work and running and a really good pair of 361’s that I probably didn’t need but bought after a gait analysis which are lovely and i never wear to work

Hiya. Hope this helps but others can

I’ve used On shoes and my wife still does. They are good but pricey.

I’d say forget selecting by brand and, instead, get your gait analysed first and let that, with the terrain you’ll be running on and your budget, determine the type of shoe you need.

Good luck with it all

I alternate shoes, especially after buying new ones and also with trail shoes, which means never having to put on wet shoes.

And that is exactly why I want two pairs. My usual pair got wet the other day and took an age to dry properly!

Stuff them with newspaper and replace it frequently.......speeds things up considerably.

I've been looking at them online recently and have picked up that the 2020 version of the running shoe seems to get better reviews than the first generation. Have you had gait analysis done? If not, I would recommend you get it done first at a good running shop to see which style of running shoe you need - supportive or neutral depending on your running style. They will put you on a treadmill and video you then recommend suitable shoes accordingy. If you end up with the wrong shoe it can lead to injury. Good luck and happy shopping.

Yes I had my hair analysed a few years ago and I’m neutral

Hair? Feet? 😂

You are lucky to be neutral - I wish I was. Finding running shoes is a complicated business for me 🙄. Good luck with the shoe hunting - the OC look comfy.

However I guess I could say my hair is neutral as I seem to be going greyer by the day!

Ha ha bloody autocorrect! Of course I meant my trotters 🤣. I’m really want a new version of an old pair of New Balance I had a couple of years ago that have now been relegated as my dog walking shoes. But sadly I can’t find them anymore....but they do a newer version so might get some of those.

I've had on cloud trainers for a couple of weeks - I find them springy and energising and love them and the elastic laces, apart from going downhill, when my foot slides forward and crushes my toes. I alternate with Under Armour, which I also like a lot - I may just stick to flatter terrain on On Cloud days. Before I got these - both in sale - I had a very old pair of Nikes, which have very little padding and I was getting a lot of pain on the outside sole of my foot. Now all good.

As you progress with your running, having a variety of pairs is always to be recommended.
